The Bakery is a new artist-run gallery in Camden Passage, the second in The Bakery family, following the success of the original The Bakery gallery in Portobello Road. We’re just getting going. We have an ongoing exhibition of our permanent artists and a selection of group and solo shows by visiting artists. We also have a calendar of workshops and events in this cosy artist-run space. Our gallery is always manned by one of our artists and new pieces come and go every day. We have everything from paintings, drawings, monotype, screen prints, ceramic pots… the list goes on…. All made by local artists who contribute to curating shows and manning the gallery. Many of our artists are also designers, philosophers and entrepreneurs, which makes the work engaging, thoughtful and always original. It is in this spirit that we invite members of the public to come and experience our work and ideas, and open up dialogues around design and aesthetic in every day life.
