2015 Project Highlights
Robin Day: Works in Wood
2015 marked the centenary of the birth of Robin Day, one of the most significant British furniture designers of the 20th century whose work pioneered a new modern ethos for post-war Britain with simple, functional furniture.
To celebrate Day’s life and to mark the huge contribution he made to our everyday lives, design and architecture collective Assemble created an installation responding to Day’s passionate interest in wood, which was displayed alongside original furniture designs, archival photos and tools.
Supported by the Robin and Lucienne Day Foundation.
