On the road to LDF24

London Design Festival kicked off the 2024 season with a partner mixer, sparking new ideas and collaborations ahead of 14-22 September.

Inside the Vitra showroom, Tramshed in East London, we brought the design community together to open minds to ideas for the 22nd iteration of LDF.

Our annual city-wide celebration provides a vital platform for designers and creative businesses to showcase their work and make sales. Backed by the Mayor of London, London Design Festival plays a pivotal role in promoting the design sector and positioning London as a global design capital. Since 2019, the Mayor of London’s investment in London Design Festival has generated an economic boost of £66m in sales made due to the festival.

London Design Festival provides an unrivalled platform that showcases designers to domestic and international audiences. We support activities and events staged across London. From Simone Brewster’s ‘Spirit of Place’ installation from LDF23 that was housed at new public space Strand Aldwych and has since moved to Canary Wharf to our London Design Medal winners across the years. See how POoR Collective is empowering the youth of tomorrow, and how Pooja Agrawal is an architect of thinking, designing and guiding. In 2021, our Emerging Talent Medal winner Mac Collins was committed to designing and making narrative-rich and impactful furniture and objects, and in the same year, Yinka Ilori’s project ‘Bring London Together’ on Tottenham Court Road brightened up the city once again after various pandemic lockdowns, and invited the public to share that joy.
