About Cathryn Ellis

Cathryn Ellis is an award-winning designer specialising in visual identity and well-crafted ideas for print and digital. Everything from art direction and advertising to packaging, websites and experiential.

She was Design Lead at Manchester International Festival 2015-2019; she collaborated with Peter Saville to create the visual identity for MIF17 and developed the identity for MIF19 with North. Along with art direction and designing key pieces, she recruited and led the in-house design team of six.

Other notable projects include The Charlatans, who she has worked with for twenty years after learning to code HTML/CSS as a teenager.

She has worked with organisations such as The BBC, Beats by Dre, BMG Records, The Co-operative Bank, Jameson, Manchester International Festival, Manchester Comedy Festival, Manchester United FC, Playstation, Reebok, Routledge, Science and Industry Museum, UEFA and The University of Manchester.

Cathryn relocated to London, UK in 2020 and available for freelance projects in-house and remote.
