Multi-Disciplinary Design, Education
A day of free creative activities taking place in Walthamstow's new state of the art public space, Fellowship Square. Featuring sensory art, craft, upcycling, street art workshops, urban dance, skate culture and circus skills, the events encourage people to stretch their imagination and explore their creativity.
Community arts organisation Urban by Nature invites you to the closing event of the William Morris Design Line 2022. The Design Line will shine a light on Walthamstow's rich creative community both past and present, from William Morris to the newly established Creative Industrial Zone in Blackhorse Lane. The opening event will feature creative activities that members of the public of all ages can get stuck into as well as information about the William Morris Design Line and what they can discover through it. The closing event will feature further creative activities and display the many contributions that the community has made in response to the theme community power. The location for the event, Fellowship Square, stands in front of the 1930s Town Hall - itself an architectural interest - and was re-imagined in 2021 as a valuable public space with a state of the art fountain (144 individually programmable jets that respond to music and light!) and public realm design that is accommodating for all.
