Digital, Industrial & Product Design

London coffee brand Grind is collaborating with design and architecture studio Giles Miller Studio on an immersive virtual gallery space showcasing sculptural works by the studio - as well as a coffee bar installation featuring a newly-developed tile for sustainable construction, created from coffee waste.

Giles Miller Studio has created a new digital gallery where clients, agents and visitors have the chance to engage in new work in a concise and immersive way. In addition to sculptural works from Giles Miller Studio, the virtual space features the coffee bar installation - showcasing Grind’s own pod machine designed to get the best from their compostable Nespresso® pods. Visitors to the installation - which can be experienced virtually from your device from anywhere in the world - can enter to win one of five very-much-not-virtual machines for themselves. Produced especially for this year’s Design Festival after a year in lockdown, the work reflects the way both Grind and partners Giles Miller Studio have adapted to changes over the last year, as well as the challenge of becoming more sustainable.
