Partners: YCN

YCN was formed in 2001; at the time to establish an annual Award program for emerging creative practitioners. Based around a collection of live creative briefs, written each year by partnering brands, the Awards have gone from strength to strength; and have cemented relationships with leading art and design colleges internationally.

The program culminates each year with a summer exhibition of commended work and the publication of an annual book; both of which present notable submissions alongside other inspiring visual content. In 2009 the programme is being extended into an ongoing project, centred around a newly created physical Award.

In 2007 a unique creative agency was established within YCN. Today the agency arm of YCN represents the finest illustration and moving-image design talent; and produces design, content, campaigns and other communication in all media for varied clients. This agency model marries a central team of designers, art directors and project managers with a remote network of collaborators and co-creators; enlisted to add colour to client projects when required - and otherwise available for direct commission through YCN.

YCN has recently moved to a new physical home at 72 Rivington Street in London; a multi-purpose workspace comprising a public ground floor, two stories of studio and a rooftop. The ground floor is open daily; and serves as a space in which to share our creative output, market selected products and showcase the work of those we represent. Do come and say hello!
