Waterhouse Offices are part of an exciting development that includes an eco restaurant and courtyard. Building on the sustainable ethos of Shoreditch Trust, Waterhouse has been equipped with energy saving and sustainable technologies.

Shoreditch Trust is offering brand new, state of the art conferencing facilities for up to 60 guests. Shoreditch Trust commissioned Hackney based furniture designer Richard Shed from Richard Shed Studio to design the conference furniture as well as outdoor dining tables for canal side dining at Waterhouse Restaurant and outdoor tables and benches for the adjacent newly created residential courtyard.

The three different elements of Richard Shed’s furniture collection visualise the link between Waterhouse Restaurant and Waterhouse Offices as well as the courtyard highlighting social enterprise and community led regeneration. Where possible Richard Shed has worked with local suppliers and manufacturers, using natural materials from sustainable sources. The design language of the collection references the synthesis of traditional wood working techniques and detailing and clean calculated digital manufacturing. Solid, warm and durable meets clean, elegant and contemporary.
As part of the London Design Festival and Open House London Waterhouse Restaurant, Waterhouse Office and the adjacent Waterhouse courtyard will be open to the public. Richard Shed will be using the Shoreditch Trust conference facilities to reveal the design journey of his furniture. The sessions take place on Saturday 19 September between 10am and 4pm and will focus on the dialogue between design, client and manufacturers in creating a rich and stimulating workplace.

On Saturday 26 September Studio Loop.ph, the London based design and research company , will use Waterhouse Conference Space to present their MetaboliCity as part of the London Design Festival. Link: http://loop.ph/bin/view/Loop/MetaboliCity
