Set up to support emerging graduates, emerge introduces cutting-edge design to this year’s London Design Festival. Featuring Fraser Muggeridge as our guest selector the exhibition will provide inspiration for future designers and encourage development within the creative industries.
Innovative graphic design is at the heart of the exhibition and it aims to bring together some of the country’s brightest graphic design graduates, showcasing their portfolios and giving them a unique opportunity to present their work to the London design industry.

Working in collaboration with Pentagram, emerge also features a take on the V&A London Poster exhibition – creating a face-off between some of the industry’s leading designers and the emerging graduates.

The exhibition will be supported by a series of workshops, events and portfolio critiques, all designed to encourage new designers and support graduates on their transition into the design industry.

My Way - Tuesday 22 September 7pm at the Rich Mix, admission free.
Three inspiring, young graphic designers will be discussing their personal route to success, highlighting the journey from graduate to experienced professional. Followed by a portfolio critique with the speakers, who will offer graduates feedback and advice on their work. There
will also be drinks, interesting chat and the chance for a bit of networking.

b inspired - Thursday 24 September 7pm at W&K Black Eagle Brewery, admission free.
Sponsored by the Bridgeman Art Library, emerge presents ‘b inspired’
What is inspiration and where does it come from? Three very different creatives will discuss how they find and harness it in their work. The talks will take you on a journey from the initial spark, to the ‘big idea’ and through to the end result.

Come and join us for a very special evening to celebrate the launch of the emerge graduate award and recognise the best of this year’s graduate talent. The night will kick off with a drinks reception followed by the presentation of the award by our very special guest selector, Fraser Muggeridge.
