The SCIN Gallery is a New and Independent Materials and Architecture Showroom, Materials library and Resource centre .The SCIN Gallery is the physical manifestation of SCIN, the online Materials database.

The SCIN Gallery, Clerkenwell, London, is centrally located in a stunning, 4 storey building. It has an extensive materials library, an installation and event platform for the young and gifted to show the latest material thinking and 2 gallery floors presenting international companies specializing  in either Material or Architectural Components. Materials ranging from translucent concretes and new knotted yarns to soft porcelains and hybrid composites, sit alongside new acoustic panels, responsive external membrane technology, task lighting and the latest in photovoltaics.

The SCIN Gallery is a totally independent company run by Architects and material researchers and their role is to find and curate the latest  material thinking, to question and challenge those purporting to be sustainable and to encourage those specifying to be just a little braver.

The SCIN Gallery will be an everchanging mentor for the Architect and Designer, a place for them to come either by themselves, in a team or with their clients to discuss, rummage, think and present. It is a thoroughly modern gallery that is very hands on and very hard to leave.

Fondle + Squeeze is the first installation of the 10 Founding Material Members ranging from British Quarried Stone to Metal Coated Woven Polymers from Sefar that are featured in the David Chipperfield Installation:2 Lines at The Royal Festival Hall, to Resin Coated bricks and concrete benches. All this will be in the presence of HM The Queen, a 2.7x2.7m 3D felt pixallated panel portrait by new Designer Melissa Watts.
