
NESTA’s 2009 Christmas tree is a striking, festive example of ‘upcycling’ – taking waste materials and turning them into something better than the original product. It is made from reclaimed cardboard boxes, with baubles and stars cut from out-of-date Big Green Challenge booklets. What will you do with your waste packaging this Christmas – recycle or upcycle?
