Three townhouses in the Brompton Design District host exhibitions around this year’s Brompton theme: ‘Other Stories - alternative perspectives on design’. The theme is reflected in a cluster of social design projects and work that reflects alternative design narratives.

The Brompton programme will benefit this year from its biggest temporary space yet: three adjoining, townhouses on Cromwell Place owned by South Kensington Estates. Here, the Other Stories theme is reflected in a cluster of social design projects by Studioilse and Ineke Hans, Fogo Island and Social Label as well as a selection of work that reflects alternative narratives and stimulates the imagination beyond product, including: Carl Aubock with Michael Anastassiades and Jacqueline Rabun; Martino Gamper; Committee; Zaven, Martyn Thompson; Workshop for Potential Design; OKOLO and UMPRUM.

Peter Pilotto & Friends will take over one of the townhouses in its entirety, creating a grand fusion of fashion and form. Around the corner three mews garages will be taken over by SEEDS Gallery, Studio Furthermore and The Poundshop.

The Brompton Design District is the leading destination for design in London, with a programme of over forty exhibitions. For details of Brompton events and talks at The Hour Glass pub during LDF please visit:

Brompton Design District

The Brompton Design District was the first London Design Festival design district, now ten years old, the programme continues to be a seedbed for experimental design in an area of London known for it's iconic, international design brands.

The cluster of design retailers and global brands joined forces in 2006 with local cultural institutions including the Royal College of Art and the V&A to foster a space where new design can flourish.
