Obsessive Interests

Mon-Sun, 11am - 10pm

Free Event

In the heart of Brixton under the historic railway infrastructure is a neglected walkway with access to the overground platforms. The BDT collective will curate and reignite the trading spaces within this overlooked arcade for a week long creative takeover with hints of Global "Otaku" inspiration.

Brixton Station passageway will be re-ignited by a group of designers and makers with Obsessive Interests throughout festival week.
Inspired by Otaku shops that traditionally occupy the underpasses on Japanese railways; the kiosks and small shop spaces in the passageway will offer installations, workshops and exhibitions, including an opportunity to design your own skate board graphic with Blast Skates and illustrator Liisa Chisolm, an audio visual peep show by Spektruh, an exhibition of Japanese ceramics curated by Terry Ellis from Beams , new textile designs by Esme Fenton, embroidery by Jodie Ruffle and menswear from Guco Morgan.
