ID Papers

Brixton based Animali Domestici invite you to their Victorian grade II listed building for a trail of works by locally-based, internationally known artists and makers. Through the medium of paper with light, wood and other materials, ID Papers explores the daily routine and the imaginary.

The ID papers event celebrates our third decade in Brixton and our contribution to the creativity of this vibrant London borough.
For the duration of the Festival, our showroom and outside spaces invite you to experience the magic of installations featuring, among
other, a series of long lit up hand painted paper rugs suspended from the ceiling designed by Gaya Giacometti.
Inspired by this large ceiling installation and by the interaction with the visitors, Zuzana Lalikova will set out to create a 7-metre long tapestry
which will be on display in the showroom on the first floor of the building.
Working in an intuitive way and by drawing inspiration from the surrounding artworks and the interaction with visitors, Lalikova will create a poetic and evocative work.
The space at the front of the building will be occupied by the installation 'Pimp My Judd' by Roberto Foddai, a homage to the father of minimalism and partly an irreverent tongue-in-cheek take on Donald Judd’s work.
Outside, on the roof terrace, German-born designer Elli Popp presents her vision of cosmic landscapes and interplanetary travel.
These large wall lights — the result of a collaboration with Animali Domestici — uses elements of Elli Popp’s Cosmos Wallpaper collection inspired by Jules Verne’s tales.
