Harrods House of Design:
A Knightsbridge Neighbourhood

Harrods hosts exhibition of twelve unique designer townhouses for London Design Festival 2017

This London Design Festival, London department store Harrods has created the ‘House of Design’ exhibition, a scaled-down Knightsbridge neighbourhood, made up of tiny townhouses. The miniature townhouses have been created by brands stocked across Harrods’ Second or Third Floor, and each house has a unique concept designed by the brand, which not only reflects a distinctive design aesthetic, but highlights the emphasis which we place on craftsmanship.

Award-winning Welsh designer, Bethan Gray, British ceramicist Burleigh, up-and-coming Italian design house Gio Pagani, Sonder Living, whose designer collections include Kelly Hoppen, Andrew Martin, Tracey Boyd and Thomas Bina, artist Kristjana S Williams and Luxury Italian linen-maker Frette have all created townhouses for the exhibition.

Also involved are: glassware innovator Reflex, known for subverting traditional techniques used to work with Murano glass; Savoir Beds, who have created a miniature hotel reflecting British craft, style and luxury; home-fragrance brand and florist, Timothy Dunn, who has created a living house; and glass and lighting brand Lasvit, whose townhouse is a nostalgic, theatre-themed celebration of its Neverending Glory collection.

Visit Harrods House of Design exhibition on Harrods Third floor, from Wednesday 13th to Wednesday 27th September.
