The Shoreditch Design Triangle is a true celebration of the area, hosted by the creative companies who work there. This year, the district blended together a range of product launches, exhibitions, installations, workshops, talks and tours.
The Shoreditch Design Triangle is a cultural event that celebrates the creative industry in East London. It was established in 2008 as a vehicle for the designers, companies and institutions situated in the East End to collaborate on the promotion of their activities during the London Design Festival and at other key periods in the year, such as Christmas and Easter. It is a true celebration of the East End, hosted by the creative companies who work here.
Blending together product launches, exhibitions, installations, workshops, talks, tours and culinary delights – the event gave visitors the opportunity to spend the day wandering around the East End on foot.
In recent years, a critical mass of design-led companies have been taking part to ensure over 50 different individual events take place in the area, with work on show from designers and artists from all over the world. Visitors saw a heady mix of design led furniture, accessories, lighting, ceramics, fashion, jewellery, bags, tableware, cookware, books, prints, flowers, textiles, bicycles, stationery and even chocolate. There were also leading architecture projects, mixed media events and video installations.
