Chelsea Design quarter presented the theme “Elements” with a variety of events based around luxury interiors, stretching people’s imagination as to what can be done in interiors today. Covering all of the “Elements”, the area included interactive installations, ground breaking exhibitions and talks celebrating the diverse industry that is the design world.

 

Highlights included John Cullen Lighting a Fusion of Elements - LED and OLED lighting with handmade Contemporary Furniture.  

The fabulous Roca London Gallery featured '100 Years of Roca, 100 Years of Design'.  

Talisman explored the design world of fashion, interior and art with their interactive installation while Loomah launched a brand new venture.

Delcor previewed new designs from leading textiles houses and visitors could discover the beauty and intricate detail of antique chinoiserie at Guinevere Antiques. Waterworks hosted a talk on “A Guide to Creating The Perfect Bath with Barbara Sallick” and Loomah celebrated their 15th birthday and to mark the occasion they launched an exciting new collection.

Drummonds showcased elements of their traditional manufacturing processes and a bathroom design collaboration with leading designer Martin Brudnizki.  

Crucial Trading, displayed an exhibition of the natural fibres used to make their floor coverings.  

The Rug Company celebrated their 20th anniversary and Tom Faulkner hosted a unique installation based around elements.

Deirdre Dyson hosted a Windswept Leaves installation in collaboration with Timothy Hatton Architects and Bagno created a new installation based on the elements in their showroom. 

Chelsea Design Quarter

The Chelsea Design Quarter has one of the most diverse concentrations of established interiors specialists in London, making it the city’s centre for interior design. Located in the vicinity of King’s Road, Lots Road and Imperial Wharf, the district boasts a large and diverse selection of specialists covering antiques, rugs and lighting, fabrics, furniture and kitchens. CDQ participants host a variety of design-led activities during the Festival.
