Open Studio

A master craftsman will be hand crafting a Savoir base, mattress and headboard, showing techniques in bed making and upholstery such as star lashing, hand teasing and hand side stitching. Using the finest natural materials, including pure cashmere and South American curled horsetail hair.

The Savoir Beds showroom will be open in regular hours 10am – 6pm Monday – Saturday or by appointment

First commissioned for The Savoy Hotel in 1905 by its founder, Gilbert and Sullivan impresario Richard D’Oyly Carte, Savoir beds have provided nights of unparalleled, first-class comfort for iconic and illustrious guests, including Charlie Chaplin, Marilyn Monroe, Winston Churchill and a wealth of visiting royalty.
