Roundhouse demonstrate British design innovation with new kitchens in a characteristically original combination of materials in our latest bespoke designs in our flagship Wigmore Street showroom.

The Roundhouse Research & Development team in our Malvern factory has developed ‘Driftwood’, a unique mid grey rough sawn and limed oak finish and an exclusive high gloss Patinated Bronze metal finish used on a tall pocket door display with black walnut inset handles. Opening to reveal base units in a Burnished Bronze metal finish and stunning interiors in Black Walnut and Calacutta d’oro marble, the cabinets perfectly demonstrate the Roundhouse mastery of materials.

Concrete cast in situ into a vast island worktop, and huge slabs of Statuario Venato and Calacutta d’oro marble create stunning and efficient work-surfaces with a distinct wow factor.

Roundhouse is delighted to be exhibiting recent work by award winning ceramicist duo James and Tilla Waters during this year’s London Design Festival.
Originally trained in fine art, James and Tilla met while training with potter Rupert Spira, who was taught by Michael Cardew and he in turn by Bernard Leach. They work within this legacy, collaborating to produce exquisite functional domestic wares. James does all the throwing and Tilla is concerned with surface quality.

‘The appeal of making objects that serve well in daily life is an enduring one. The repetition of making by hand ensures a gradual honing of skills and allows on-going modification of form. In design terms we hope to find a good balance between being minimal and quiet yet interesting.’
