Design Exquis - Roca Edition

Mon to Fri 9am - 5:30pm, Sat 11am - 5pm

Free Event

Design Exquis, an exhibition inspired by the collective method of creation known as Exquisite Corpse is now on at Roca London Gallery. The concept involves a chain of designers, including Studio Swine & Lex Pott, responding to an object created by their predecessor through their own design language.

The rules of the game are simple:

• An object is chosen for its design qualities
A designer is invited to react to it by producing a work
• This work is, in turn, answered to by a second designer
The process is repeated
Only the first designer knows what the first object is
• The only information they receive is the last object created
• None of the designers know who the others are

The end result will be an exhibition, which will include the four designs, the original object and documentation of the designers’ processes.

All will be revealed during the London Design Festival 2013...
