Introducing 'Pentreath & Hall - Goods and Furnishings'

Architectural Designer Ben Pentreath and Decorative Artist Bridie Hall begin a collaboration, starting with a collection of decorative papers derived from the legendary designer Batty Langley's 'Treasury of Designs'

Pentreath & Hall

Pentreath & Hall is one of the most unusual and exciting shops in London. For some of our visitors, our tiny shop on Rugby Street is a place discovered unexpectedly… tucked away, as we are, in a quiet street of beautiful early Georgian houses in one of the loveliest hidden corners of London.
Catching a glimpse of our traditionally painted, glossy black shop front and painted glass sign is enough to tempt many passers-by within, where they discover an Aladdin’s cave of antiques, new homewares, and our growing range of exclusive decorative items.
For others, Pentreath & Hall is a world that opens up through our website, and especially through Ben’s weekly blog, Inspiration, which has become regular Monday morning reading for thousands of people around the globe. We love meeting these customers, from all over the world, many of whom make a visit to Rugby Street their first stop of any trip to our great capital city of London.
Ben Pentreath and Bridie Hall came to shop-keeping unexpectedly. Ben is an architectural and interior designer. Bridie is a decorative artist and maker. Both are creating a new British tradition that respects the past but is never dull, and both bring a powerful creative dynamic to the shop that they have run together since 2008.
Since its creation, first as Ben Pentreath Ltd and since 2013 as Pentreath & Hall, the shop has become a outstanding destination for those seeking beautiful, unusual and decorative things for their home.
