Andrew Varah's one tree bench still inspires 13 years on. On 27th November 1998 a 170 year old oak tree was cut down in Tatton Park, Cheshire. The aim was to demonstrate diverse uses to which this quintessentially British tree can be put. The tree was cut and prepared for use by seventy four artists and this piece is the very heart of the tree. It is now available for sale.
The London Design Festival can only happen because we have such great support.
