Society of Bookbinders

The V&A

A display of the winning books from this year's Society of Bookbinders International Competition

The Society of Bookbinders International Competition, in its current format, was started in 1999 and runs every two years in conjunction with the Society’s biennial conference. Like the conference it has grown over the years and now attracts entries from all over the world.
The exhibition displays the winning books from this year’s competition in the following categories: Fine Binding, The Complete Book, Case Binding, Restoration and Historic Binding.
The Society of Bookbinders is a UK-based educational charity dedicated to traditional and contemporary bookbinding, and to the preservation and conservation of the printed and written word.
