Silver-where?

In Tandem

So what is it that you do?

Well I'm a goldsmith/silversmith/metalworker/jeweller* but normally I don't make spoons and bowls and rings, well I can but I don't, but sometimes I do, to pay the rent. I guess I'm a maker, I make stuff.

In Tandem presents 'Silver-where?', an exhibition exploring a maker's experience of the everyday through an installation of reinterpreted, remade domestic objects.

We are surrounded by a mass of stuff and our relationship with it is complex, often irrational and always personal. What is precious to one person is someone else's junk. The hierarchy of objects has changed; where is the silver?

In Tandem is a platform highlighting the work of recent graduates from the Royal College of Art GSM&J department coordinated by Christopher Thompson Royds and Jasleen Kaur.
