The shapes of things explores the unique contribution of contemporary crafts to reflect and influence national identity

The shape of things is an ambitious national initiative that explores the distinctive contribution artists make to influence or reflect national identity, the intercultural nature of British society and its connections with global cultures through a series of exhibitions, installations and events throughout 2010-2011.

Museum, gallery and other organisation partners in the shape of things programme are Crafts Study Centre, Bristol City Museum & Art Gallery, Bilston Crafts Gallery,
Touchstones Rochdale, Flow Gallery, The City Gallery, Leicester, SHISHA, Craftspace, The National Society for Education in Art and Design.

The shape of things is funded by Arts Council England as a strategic national initiative for contemporary crafts.
