This year Timothy Hatton Architects are constructing a striking free-standing pavilion made from the award-winning material, Concrete Canvas. The pavilion is made out of
five modular components which seeks to compliment the ease and versatility of the material whilst also allowing a creative application.
It will be designed by the same THA team who received an enthusiastic reception last year for their ‘Peep Show’ exhibition at the London Design Festival.
Timothy Hatton Architects, whose portfolio includes art galleries and private houses, have challenged themselves to design a structure that pushes the boundaries of material in relation to form. The fact that it is a temporary structure enables the team to be radical in their experimentation whilst keeping in mind the ultimate aim of translating their ideas into viable solutions for permanent structures. Visitors are invited to come and experience the completed pavilion and give their feedback. The pavilion is located in the courtyard of Portobello Dock, W10.
Opening times: 10am - 6pm
