Outset Contemporary Art Fund, the London Design Festival and the V&A's new fund to acquire great design for the Museum

Following the success of its Contemporary Art Fund, which has been purchasing and commissioning artworks for the public for almost a decade, Outset turns its attention to design. Launched in March 2011 by Yana Peel, co-founder and co-director of the Outset Contemporary Art Fund, and Ben Evans, Director of the London Design Festival, the Outset Design Fund has been established to acquire contemporary design pieces for the V&A’s collection. Its first acquisitions, made possible by the generous support of Outset’s patrons and corporate partners, are on show at this year’s Festival. Look out for work by Fredrikson Stallard, Nendo, BCXSY, Platform and Satyendra Pakhalé.
