Aesthetics as A Means To Heal: Can we create an object that can heal a wounded society?

Sojournposse

The role of designers and culture producers in creating objects that can "heal", from medical and aesthetics angles.

An object makes the person, informs his identity, and facilitates a sociality around the person. We use objects such as the iPod to anesthetise our pain. Can objects also ‘heal’? How do the disciplines construct an artifact that puts ‘healing’ and ‘empathy’ at the heart of it? Speakers: Medicin Sans Frontieres, 3G Doctor, Being In Rhythm, duckrabbit.
