Sustainable fashion label Keep & Share will showcase their latest collection of ‘slow fashion’ knitwear for men and women at their only London Travelling Store event this year. Discover how designer Amy Twigger Holroyd’s thoughtful design philosophy – based as much on her customers’ emotions as her own craft techniques – translates into beautiful knitwear, hand knitting kits and ‘knit your own’ workshop weekends.
Keep & Share create knitwear using their hands, their quick wits and a roomful of ultra-basic machinery in their Herefordshire studio. They combine fresh designs, quality materials and their signature seamless construction techniques to create ‘best friend’ pieces that are sure to satisfy, season after season.
A key element of the sustainable ethos behind Keep & Share is the close and ongoing relationship between Amy and her customers, a far cry from the status quo in the fashion industry. As a celebration of this relationship, Amy based the new autumn/winter 2009 collection on a selection of inspirational ‘snippets’ sent to her by customers. At the Travelling Store, expect to see intriguingly constructed, enveloping knits inspired by symbolic patterns, tradition and ritual, and the dangers of the fairy-tale forest.
Opening times: 12-7pm, Thu & Fri; 12-6pm, Sat & Sun
