Exhibition

John Lewis has been an integral part of the British high street for 150 years, becoming one of the UK’s most influential retailers. This exhibition explores the design stories behind a range of current and past products they sell and how they have shaped our lives.

the Design Museum

the Design Museum is the world’s leading museum devoted to architecture and design. Its work encompasses all elements of design, including fashion, product and graphic design.

Since it opened its doors in 1989 the museum has shaped our understanding of design of every kind. It has staged over 100 exhibitions, welcomed
over five million visitors and showcased the work of some of the world’s most celebrated designers and architects.

the Design Museum is now open in its new location on High Street Kensington. Leading architectural designer John Pawson converted the interior of the stunning, 1960s modernist building to create a new home for the museum with three times more space in which to show a wider range of exhibitions and significantly extend its learning programme.
