Goldsmiths’ Department of Design is opening its doors to the public for a series of free events featuring the 2016 Postgraduate show, talks on Design from eminent designers, workshops and performances, and a showcase of design projects from our wider design community.

At Goldsmiths, we believe design should challenge the status quo. We’re not interested in just producing it, we’re interested in defining it.

As part of London Design Festival, from Thursday 15th to Sunday 18th September Goldsmiths’ Department of Design (http://www.gold.ac.uk/design) opens its doors to the public for a series of free events featuring the 2016 Postgraduate degree show, talks on Design from eminent designers in both industry and academia, workshops and performances, and a showcase of design projects from our wider design community,

Our events include the Postgraduate Design programmes’ degree show where students present work tackling a variety of issues, from eating disorders amongst Chinese youth to overcrowding on the London Underground. Design researchers will present work to the public, while industry professionals and alumni will be giving talks on their work and careers. There will be Interactive workshops and happenings to give our visitors the opportunity to engage with design at Goldsmiths.

The Private view will take place on Thursday 15th September (7 pm-9 pm). An alumni reception is scheduled for the evening of Friday 16 September (6 30 to 9 30 pm).
