GDC-Graphic Design in China, an iconic event in the Chinese design industry, is the first large-scale comprehensive design campaign in mainland China, covering across graphic, architecture, product and fashion design areas.
Founded and organised by Shenzhen Graphic Design Association (SGDA) since 1992, GDC has proved to be the most influential, authoritative and impartial graphic design festival in great China area. It runs every two years with themed design competition, exhibitions and other activities. The campaign has been successfully held for 8 editions and has stimulated and witnessed the vigorous growth and rising of the graphic design industry in China. In mainland China it has significantly contributed to improve the general public’s recognition and knowledge of design, as well as the social role of design.
GDC Exhibition-Graphic Design in China 2003-2013, will show the international audiences China’s most outstanding design achievements over the last 10 years and introduce those award-winning designers and emerging talents to the world. This unmissable exhibition will demonstrate how Chinese graphic design has evolved during the last 10 years.
The exhibition will be accompanied by a launching ceremony and forum held at 2-5:30pm 15 Sep. Outstanding speakers from both China and the UK will witness the ceremony and deliver fresh and thought-promoting speeches about Chinese and UK design.
