Four Seasons in Shanghai presents the new design strength with mature development and diversifies styles. The products in different categories are exhibited together, which feature the manufacturing techniques from traditional woodcraft structure to modern ergonomics by various materials.

As the Shanghai part in the 2013 London Design Week, we endeavors to reproduce the Shanghai in people’s memory, while depicting the Shanghai that belongs to the present and the future. Traditional manufacturing industries represented by hundred-year-old brands with long history are radiating new vitality through the power of creative design.A group of outstanding local design enterprises have come into being in this new millennium, with mature development and diversifies styles. There are also independent designers whose show unique originality and strong personality in their works. The products in different categories are exhibited together, which feature the manufacturing techniques from traditional woodcraft structure to modern ergonomics, and the bold contrast created by various materials and formats of wood, porcelain, metal, and recycling paper. All these different elements unite to form a “Shanghai House” with abundant life atmosphere.

Shanghai, a city with one-hundred-year history, has shown the serene features and elegant styles by the open and inclusive Shanghai culture. The input of design and creativity is updating this one-hundred-year-old city from “made in Shanghai” to “created in Shanghai”. And we are right in this wonderful moment.
