Exhibition

From sand-etched glass and wood, embellished textiles and porcelain, to bird skulls and preserved fish skins, this is where cutting edge craft meets dreamland. Contemporary craft at its best in this delightfully intimate gallery from a select group of members of the Society of Designer Craftsmen.

Returning for its second year, Designed|Crafted showcases the work of twelve contemporary artists whose ground breaking work explores the fine line between craft and design.

The highlight of this year’s show will be '25 @ £50', a collection of limited edition pieces offering visitors the rare opportunity to purchase small pieces from a number of these artists. The exhibition curators have honed a select group from the membership of the Society of Designer Craftsmen to present an exhibition with a striking focus on the finest and most unusual materials and techniques. From sand etched glass and wood, embellished textiles and porcelain to bird skulls and preserved fish skins, this is where cutting edge crafts meets dreamland.

Featuring the internationally recognised sculptor Andrew Logan, Logan’s work is rich with artistic flair and fantasy and renowned for challenging convention.

Designed|Crafted displays craft at its best in this delightfully intimate gallery in the heart of Shoreditch.

Open daily (11am – 7pm) from 14th – 26th September at the Society Of Designer Craftsmen Gallery: 24 Rivington Street, London EC2A 3DU.
