Design Museum and Beefeater 24 present Super Contemporary

Super Contemporary is the spirit of London design, past, present and future. The exhibition celebrates and examines the creative magnetism of London and its enduring reputation as the heart of contemporary design. The Design Museum has joined forces with Beefeater 24 to showcase 15 new commissions from London’s most dynamic creative’s, and as a group they demonstrate the diverse approaches to design in London.

Remembering Jan Kaplicky - Architect of the future

Jan Kaplický, who died earlier this year aged 71, was the Czech architect responsible for some of the most remarkable buildings that Britain has ever seen. This exhibition curated by Deyan Sudjic will celebrate Kaplický’s career, his influences and unique futuristic vision for building design.

Mariscal - Drawing Life

The Design Museum presents the first UK retrospective of Spanish designer and artist Javier Mariscal. Regarded as one the world’s most innovative and original designers of our time, Mariscal’s rich and diverse body of work spans kooky cartoon characters to stunning interiors, from furniture to graphic design and corporate identities.

Design Overtime Festival
25 September, 6pm - 10pm
Come and celebrate our 20th birthday! See the exhibitions take part in debates and workshops set to a blend of Design Overtime music and entertainment. Using cake making as your design discipline, bake a noble expression of iconic design celebrating the past or anticipating the future. Selected entries will be put on display at the Design Museum for one night only to help us celebrate our twentieth birthday.
