Installation

An installation exploring the possibilities of digital collaboration. The experiment requires visitors to take part in the creation of a printed publication over the course of London Design Festival.

In association with Channel Interactive.
Supported using public funding by Arts Council England.

With the growth of online communities, consumption of information has become a more active experience. We are now all able to create imagery and publish new content instantaneously thanks to an abundance of online tools. 'Collate' brings this experience into a physical space over the course of the London Design Festival.

Throughout the installation visitors are invited to contribute to the co-creation of a printed book. By using a series of touchscreens, visitors can engage with found images, design the layout, and vote on the content to be included in the publication. The resulting book will be printed as the conclusion of the experiment.
