‘Build – Blood, Sweat & 11 Years’, is an exhibition featuring a selection of striking and influential prints and posters from creative graphic studio Build, this year celebrating its 11th birthday. Many of the pieces will be for sale, and there will be events throughout the week.
We are Build. We are a creative studio led by Michael C. Place & Nicky Place, and since 2001 we have produced striking and influential work in the UK and abroad. In September, it is our birthday, and we are celebrating at the London Design Festival with ‘Build – Blood, Sweat & 11 Years’, an exhibition featuring a selection of prints and posters produced over the last eleven years.
Many pieces have been highly sought-after, some are less well known, but all carry the Build stamp of distinction. We will be showing works from the archive whilst others will be reprinted especially for the show; most pieces will be for sale, along with a printed show catalogue. There will be events happening throughout the week at the exhibition.
The show will also feature a collaborative piece with Build, architects Studio Octopi and contemporary carpentry company Aldworth James & Bond.
We are delighted to be supported by Magic Rock Brewery, Briska and Progress Packaging.
Hello, we are Build. We are a small creative studio with a big reputation. Led by creative director Michael C Place, we continue to produce striking and influential work in the UK and abroad.
In September 2012 it will be our 11th birthday and we think that's worth celebrating. Since 2001 our work for both commercial clients and self-initiated projects has resulted in an extensive archive of work, prints and posters. Many pieces have been sought after over the years, some are less well known. All carry the Build stamp of distinction.
In September we are producing an exhibition featuring a selection of these works in celebration of the last 11 years.
During the show we will also be selling a number of pieces from the archive, selected reprints of previous editions, as well as a printed catalogue and other items produced especially for the event.
The exhibition will run from Tuesday 11th September to Sunday 16th September at the Dray Walk Gallery at the Old Truman Brewery, off Brick Lane.
