Merel Bekking, Founder, Merel Bekking Design and Brain_manufacturing

Just like any other designer Merel Bekking, the Founder of Brain Manufacturing, wants to create the perfect the design. However unlike other designers Bekking works with Dr Steven Scholte, associate professor at the University of Amsterdam (UvA) and an expert in the field of visual perception and personality, using MRI scanners and biometric sensors to find out what people experience as beautiful and ugly, like or dislike, in materials, shapes and colours.

London Design Festival

Over nine days in September, the London Design Festival feature hundreds of events taking place across London, showcasing the city's pivotal role in global design. The London Design Festival 2018 will be held 15-23 September, featuring over 400 Partners, Landmark Projects, and V&A Commissions.
