Event description

Join Oscar Humphries , Chairman, Phillips de Pury & Company, designer Martino Gamper, dealer Oscar Humphries of Timothy Taylor Gallery, artist Pae White and chair Tim Marlow, writer, broadcaster and Director of Exhibitions at White Cube, to explore the implications of the intertwined markets for art and design. How and why has the distinction between these disciplines eroded in recent years? Has ‘good design for all’ become exclusive design for the few?

Design by Decade

Celebrate the evolution of the architecture, art and design communities in London since the 1970s. Join us on four evenings – each dedicated to one of the decades Ron Arad has lived and worked in London – for a panel discussion followed by a chance to meet the speakers over drinks. In the Gallery, sample the flavour of each decade by taking part in specially curated retro fun as DJs selected by Rough Trade drop beats from the era. In association with our media partner Wallpaper*.
