Nicholas Langan, footprint table
Our V&A hub is going to be full of delicious stuff to see this year. Alongside the headlining the Cappellini exhibit and the Retrouvius entrance hall is another that's well worth a look. It is by four members of www.designermakers.org.uk and it's a great example of what happens when traditional materials meet intelligently used state of the art techniques. Ripple Tank Table by Orchard Studio
Nice to see digitally processed work that has a real tactile, human dimension to it. Daniel O'Riordan's Orchard Studio is a first time exhibitor at this year's Tent; his Ripple Table is created by taking a digital simulation of rain, then CNC milling it into hardwood. Design is all about the zeitgeist, and this one is about turning your back on all those final demands. Produced by Pigeontale, a Brooklyn-based design practice, the Papercore Coffee Table solves the problem that every modern house shares; piles of un-anwered letters and fliersthat lie around on every surface. Their own blurb puts it this way: 'The Papervore is hungry for all of your printed leftovers. With a turn of the crank you too can put that gas bill off until next month.' Via Core 77     More

I love the textile field, especially after walking and standing 4 hours in the V&A. I'd love to see it stay, and possibly with a few more vibrant colours added to the palette. Mian

I went to John Pawson's exhibition at Design museum last year.
His sophisticated works were very impressive and inspiring.
I am looking forward to seeing this installation very much.

I like it very much!
It is much easier to find an exact place and information.
I will surely use this calendar for LDF this year!

It collaborated very well with installantion of Ron Arad called curtain call at Roundhouse.

I love this calendar - it's really comprehensive and completely relevant. It's the first place I go when looking for something to do at the weekend. Thanks LDF!
