Discover the new collaborations with A. Citterio, M. Harrsen, Formafantasma and L. Freya Tangelder, the new products by R. Dordoni, G. Pesce and P. Urquiola, as well as the new editions by C. Perriand and the debut of Cassina Details, a complete collection of accessories.

The Cassina Perspective: a concept, a philosophy, an informed and futuristic idea; an eclectic collection in which the most innovative products and Modern icons come together to create authentic, welcoming surroundings for all areas of the home, from the living and dining rooms to the outdoors, dialoguing according to a unique design code based on excellence. Extraordinary collaborations Thanks to its strong inclination for research and innovation, this year Cassina presents a new collaboration with the architect Antonio Citterio for a sofa system distinguished by an elegant and timeless design. The complete collection also includes new products by Rodolfo Dordoni, Mikal Harrsen and Patricia Urquiola, as well as the debut of the Dutch designer Linde Freya Tangelder, thanks to Patronage: the first stage of a project launched to cultivate young international talent, support culture and develop creative ideas. A new pillar: Cassina Details The company’s holistic approach has been further strengthened with the introduction of Cassina Details, a complete collection of accessories and complementary pieces that brings together fresh new products with existing ones in eight categories ‒ Tableware, Objects, Vases, Textiles, Lamps, Mirrors, Rugs and Large Accessories ‒ that embody the eclecticism and versatility that Cassina is known for. The new 2022 pieces are designed by renowned artists and architects including, the creative duo Formafantasma, Charlotte Perriand and Gaetano Pesce, also through collaborative partnerships with Italian excellences like Ginori 1735 and cc-tapis. In this way, even the accessory becomes essential in the decoration and creation of a space: an object that has a life of its own but takes on new meaning in the uniqueness of the landscape in which it is has been imagined for. Rethinking the future of design This year Cassina continues to renew its commitment to adopt a more conscious approach towards the environment and people through the work of Cassina LAB, a continuously expanding philosophy born from the collaboration with POLI.design at the Milan Polytechnic. The circular materials identified for product development, such as recycled PET for the sofa wadding, have once again been employed in the 2022 Collection’s products. This year, in particular, Cassina LAB’s activities are focused on the disassemblability of the products in order to facilitate the recovery and the recycling of materials at the end of their life cycle. With the aim of improving and measuring product circularity with tangible data, Cassina has implemented a tool that maps key indicators, like the percentage of circularity and disassembly index. This innovative method, for in-house use, has the objective of optimising product design and production to steer the company towards greater sustainability.
